Débord de Loire, Nantes: May 30 to June 5, 2023

Schedule -

NEOLINE supports Débord de Loire and is fully committed to this event, thanking the organizers for this fabulous opportunity for everyone to thrill and marvel together at a spectacle as rare as it is majestic, bringing together around the Belem units with a freighting past such as the three-masted Le Français, Oosterschelde or Corentin, as well as a rich river fleet.

Débord de Loire is an exceptional nautical and artistic event, open to all (and free!), which will get the estuary and the banks of the Loire moving with an impressive program!

The 2023 edition, on the water or on the quays, will once again be an opportunity for everyone to discover, have fun, marvel or find out more about the Loire, and sailing transport will be given pride of place, with 200 boats invited to sail together on the river for the grand parade on the estuary on Saturday June 3.

For lovers of dance, the Loire, boats and tall ships, this is an event not to be missed!

On the quayside, exhibitions and conferences will raise questions about the future of maritime transport and the ecological issues associated with a sector that transports some 90% of our everyday goods.

Meet NEOLINE in Nantes:

Meet us on Saturday June 3 at 5pm at the Village Partenaires Débord de Loire for a conference on maritime transport under sail with the Wind Ship association and Jean Zanuttini for Nantes-based shipowner NEOLINE, whose first sailing cargo ship is currently under construction and will be launched mid-2025 on a transatlantic route.

Discover the exhibition on recent tall ship projects on the quayside, and chat with Windship at the stand (next to the refreshment bar in the Partners Village) Quai de l’Aiguillon.

On Wednesday May 31, from 5 to 7 pm, Jean Zanuttini will also take part in a conference organized by the CCI, entitled “Towards a responsible nautical and maritime territory” (information and registration).

For Débord de Loire, the model of the Neoliner will join the “Shipbuilders” exhibition at the Maison des Hommes et des Techniques on Saturday June 3 and Sunday June 4 from 3:30pm to 4:30pm, and in the days that follow from 10am to 1pm and 2pm to 6pm (free admission, open to all).

And you have to see it to believe it! With projections and light shows on the Quai de la fosse and behind Belem at dusk on June 3 and 4, you’ll be able to see the Neoliner silhouetted behind its big brother, thanks to a stunning scenography that will make you dream!
It’s an emotional moment for the Neoline team, who are very attached to the three-masted Belem, which inspired the project and led us into the adventure of maritime transport under sail!
Friends from Nantes, partners in the project, music, boats and tall ships, meet us on the water or on the quays!

A big THANK YOU to the Débord de Loire 2023 team, to all your supporters, and to the region for bringing together actors and the public around the Loire! It was magnificent!

And THANK YOU for the beautiful Neoliner lighting on the facades of Nantes, a great moment for us as we see the project come to fruition after a long gestation period! 🙂
