“We embarked on the Neoline project because, in addition to the extremely relevant aspect of this wind propulsion – by the very nature of our profession as boat builders – we are obviously extremely sensitive to environmental aspects.”

“We met the Neoline team several years ago, since we were asked to participate in the project at a very early stage. First of all, it was a human encounter, we were really seduced by the quality of the team, of the people involved, they are men of the sea, we are people of the sea, we are boat builders, and obviously the very idea of a sail propulsion system for the transport of goods resonated with us for a very simple reason: we are the first sailing boat builder in the world. Wind propulsion is in our DNA, it is our core business. We were immediately seduced by the prospect of being able to transport our boats under sail to America, which is one of our growth markets, one of our major growth areas. We embarked on the Neoline project because, in addition to the extremely relevant aspect of this wind propulsion – by the very nature of our profession as boat builders – we are obviously extremely sensitive to environmental aspects. Our products, pleasure boats, are products that evolve at sea, in this natural environment that we must preserve and protect. In addition, as part of the Let’s go beyond strategy unveiled by our Chairman last July, the Group has a very strong focus on environmental issues, and of course the very principle of sailboat propulsion has also caught our attention in terms of sustainable development and the environment.”
